Hello all.
The message below is from my friend who is no longer feeling suicidal. She wanted me to forward this message to those of you who took the time to pray for her and/or send her a word of encouragement.

Greetings!
I am blessed to be able to thank you all who have been praying for me. It has been a blessing to know that there are some Christian people who still care about each other...
I have truly felt your prayers... received your advice... and been consoled by your testimonies... Every day i came online i had new emails in my inbox... it was comforting...reassuring... but most of all it helped me to get things back into perspective...
This experience has been totally unlike anything i have seen or experienced online before...
Howard i thank you for allowing God to use this unique way of sending me encouragement...
Most of all i thank God for his tender mercies... for giving me another chance... for answering prayers that seemed unanswerable...
Thank you... you will forever be in my prayers... God Bless you all...

God is great and I believe in his promise to never leave us or forsake us. I also believe that God has endowed mankind with knowledge to help each other. Please, please, have you friend seek mental health treatment. Depression is not NOT a character flaw or a direct indication that one is not connected to God. There are many biological and genetic components to depression. I urge you to support your friend because acting on his suicidal impulses is a real possibility. I am in no way minimizing the value of pray or faith but it may not be enough. I dont know what city you live in but there is LIFENET in some states. or you can check the yellow pages for mental health providers. Good luck and God bless.

Hello all.
Please pray for a Christian friend of mine who is trying not to act on thoughts of suicide.
Do you have some words of wisdom (Christian counsel) that I can pass on?
