Dear Nannette & Larry;
I would like to thank you for your allowing me to contact Ray. We met in rather extreme circumstances. Ray and I met through Shining Stars and he drove from Wisconsin to meet me.
He arrived in Texas Thursday night, March 10, 2000. By 6 am the next morning I had him in the Emergency Room of Huguley Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas-diagnosis, Bacterial Streptoccal Pneumonia Meningitis.
As I watched him suffer with the severe headaches Friday I was again reminded of my youngest daughter dying of Bacterial Neisseria Meningitis 6 years ago (she also survived the disease which is 99% deadly).
Ray was in ICU for 6 days, transferred to a private room and came home to my house to recuperate March 20th. His initial 4 day stay will end up being just over one month.
In the meantime, his parents and sister are caring for his two small boys whom await their Daddy's return home.
In the course of the days that followed, Ray and I became very close. It appeared God wanted Ray to stay in Texas and we took advantage of His leading.
Ray and I are engaged and plan a wedding on June 25th.
I can honestly say I had about lost hope of ever finding the man God had planned for my life's mate. He has truly blessed me and I am amazed at His subtleness for one so as blind as I.
Another success story.
Thank you both for your search.
